Helping people thrive

The Construction Forum

The Construction Forum was brought together by East End Community Foundation in early 2016 following a consultation with local residents from across the East End about issues in their local community, known as Vital Signs, in which the social themes work and housing were identified as key concerns. The Construction Forum is a collective of developers, local housing associations and construction education providers who meet quarterly to discuss the sector, share best practice ideas and identify solutions to the skills gap in the market.

The forum seeks to challenge that image and reveal the huge variety of jobs available in the sector, from Technical, Trade and Business Apprenticeships to working as a Community Liaison Officer.

Sponsored by Canary Wharf Contractors and in partnership with East End Community Foundation and New City College. The annual Construction Job Fair will host a range of developers, local housing associations and construction education providers to provide local people with an opportunity to come and meet contractors/developers, learn more about the construction industry and have access to live jobs.
