EECF wins Tower Hamlets Small Grants contract worth £410,000

EECF is delighted to have the opportunity to continue managing Tower Hamlets’ Small Grants Fund.  Designed to support voluntary and community sector activity across Tower Hamlets, the £410,000 fund makes a positive difference to the lives of local residents, tackling inequalities and celebrating diversity.
It’s a recognition of our strong expertise in grant management and understanding the needs of local people. Our community experts have been managing the Small Grants Fund since its launch in 2019, responding rapidly to the COVID pandemic, and supporting grassroots organisations’ deliver vital services to residents amongst the hardest hit by the pandemic. The charity adopted a flexible funding approach to help organisations cover sickness and purchase equipment, deliver services differently and helped support organisations develop contingency plans.
The fund awarded 100 grants, including the Covid-19 Outreach & Engagement Fund set up by the Council to respond to the pandemic
EECF’s Grants Team has managed and issued over £1 million worth of grants on behalf of the East London borough since 2019.
